Infomart Corporation and its group companies (hereinafter referred to as the "Infomart Group") firmly believe that "people" are the foundation of everything we do in order to achieve our management philosophy of being an "essential business that provide substantial benefits to the world, and bring joy to the world."
As a platform provider for digital society infrastructure, we have a responsibility to continue earning the trust of our many stakeholders. The driving force behind fulfilling this responsibility is respect for the diverse individuals that make up society, and an unwavering commitment to respecting human rights. We recognize that respecting human rights in all of our business activities and taking the challenges we face seriously are essential to supporting a sustainable society and growth of the Company.
Drawing on this recognition, the Infomart Group has established this policy to advance respect for human rights, and the Group as a whole will contribute to achieving a society where human rights are respected.
1. Compliance with International Norms and Applicable Laws and Regulations
The Infomart Group recognizes that respect for human rights is the foundation of its corporate social
responsibility in all countries and regions where it operates, and supports and respects international norms,
such as the International Bill of Human Rights (including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), the United
Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), and the International Labour Organization's
(ILO) "Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work."
We will also comply with the human rights laws and regulations applicable in each country and region where we operate.
In cases where the laws and regulations of the country or region in question are inconsistent with internationally
recognized human rights, we will seek methods that respect internationally recognized human rights to the maximum
extent possible.
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to all officers and employees of the Infomart Group.
We also expect all business partners (suppliers, subcontractors, sales agents, etc.) associated with the business
activities of the Infomart Group to understand the purpose of this policy and to support and cooperate with it, and
we will strive to disseminate this policy through contractual provisions and dialogue as necessary.
3. Human Rights Issues
The Infomart Group regards the following human rights issues as important fields and strives to respect them and prevent infringement.
(1) Prohibit discrimination and harassment, and promote DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion)
All forms of discrimination and harassment based on race, skin color, gender, age, sexual orientation/gender
identity (SOGI), religion, political opinion, nationality, country of origin, disability, social origin, etc.
are prohibited.
We also respect diverse employees in recruitment, evaluation, training, assignment, pay raise, and promotion to
new positions, and provide fair opportunities for employees to maximize their individual abilities and create a
work environment with a high level of psychological safety.
(2) Prohibit forced labor and child labor
We support the "Children's Rights and Business Principles" developed by UNICEF, the UN Global Compact, and Save the Children, and prohibit any form of forced labor, human trafficking, and labor by children under the minimum legal age throughout the Infomart Group and supply chain.
(3) Ensure fair wages, working hours, and health and safety
We will comply with all applicable labor-related laws and regulations in the countries and regions where we conduct business, pay appropriate wages that exceed the minimum wage, and ensure "equal pay for equal work" based on job content and performance, as well as prevent overwork, including the reduction of excessively long working hours, manage working hours appropriately, and ensure a "safe and healthy working environment, including mental health," to create and maintain an environment where a diverse workforce is able to tackle challenging tasks with peace of mind, both physically and mentally.
(4) Respect for freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
We respect the right of workers to voluntarily establish and participate in organizations for the promotion
and defense of their professional interests (freedom of association), and the right of workers to discuss and
negotiate their working conditions and working environment with their employers (right of collective
bargaining) as their fundamental rights.
We also value sincere dialogue between labor and management, and strive to maintain and improve a healthy workplace
environment by building relationships of mutual trust.
(5) Information management and respect for privacy
As a platform provider that is responsible for social infrastructure, the protection of information is a top
management priority and a source of credibility for us. We will protect all personal information and
information assets handled in our business activities in an appropriate manner, and provide all customers with
secure and convenient services.
We also respect freedom of expression and the right to privacy in communications and on the Internet, and never
use technology for unwarranted surveillance or for the infringement of rights. The utilization of data is solely
for the purpose of providing value to society and customers, and is approached with the highest ethical standards.
4. Systems and Initiatives for Respecting Human Rights
This policy is a commitment to ensure respect for human rights, and is promoted and discussed by the Sustainability Committee, with related departments working together to ensure that it is implemented effectively.
(1) Human Rights Due Diligence
Based on the Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) approach of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Infomart Group identifies the negative impacts of its corporate and business activities and continuously implements activities to prevent or mitigate them.
(2) Remediation
If it becomes clear that we have caused or been involved in negative impacts on human rights, the Infomart Group will promptly seek to remedy the situation through appropriate means.
(3) Education
The Infomart Group will provide all officers and employees with ongoing education and training necessary to put this policy into practice.
(4) Information Disclosure
The Infomart Group discloses information on its efforts for respecting human rights on its website and through various other means of communication.
